Today’s practice combines moments of effort with moments of ease, reminding us that strength comes from both resilience and knowing when to soften. Each posture challenges your endurance while creating space for growth.

Bend Movement Club Week 4: Flow State

In this flow class, we’ll focus on self-acceptance and compassion. Yoga isn’t about achieving a perfect pose or pushing beyond your limits; it’s about embracing where you are in your practice today and moving with kindness toward yourself. In this session, we’ll explore our edges, allowing ourselves to move mindfully and without judgment, trusting that wherever you are is exactly where you need to be.

Flow offers the chance to find a balance between effort and ease, inviting you to approach each movement with gentleness and respect for yourself. Release any need to force or strive, and let this practice be an opportunity to simply connect with your body and breath.

  • Bend Movement Club Week 3: Centered & Steady

Bend Movement Club Week 3: Centered & Steady

Welcome to our third flow class in the Bend Movement Club series!

This week, we’re taking the grounding and balance cultivated in our yin practice and bringing those qualities into our flow. Today’s session focuses on finding physical stability through standing and balancing postures, all while striking a balance between effort and ease.

In both yoga and life, balance isn’t about perfection; it’s about staying present and connected to your breath, even when things feel unsteady. Let your breath guide you through each movement, helping you create a sense of inner stability as you flow.

  • Bend Movement Club Week 2: Flow & Let Go

Bend Movement Club Week 2: Flow & Let Go

Welcome to our second flow class. Today, our focus is on "letting go and release. Flow yoga encourages us to move with ease, not just through our bodies but through whatever we’re holding onto—tension, stress, or emotions that no longer serve us.

In this practice, we’ll allow the breath to help us release as we move through each transition, inviting a sense of freedom and lightness with every flow. Today’s intention is simple: to let go—both physically and mentally—and create space for something new.

As we flow together, keep in mind the elements we’ve already explored:

Let your breath guide you, reminding yourself that each inhale brings in new energy, while each exhale offers a chance to release. As you flow, move smoothly, embracing ease over effort, and in each posture and transition, soften and let go—not just through your body, but through your mind—releasing anything that no longer serves you.

We’ll start with a gentle meditation to ground ourselves, followed by a sequence designed to help release tension and finish with our cool down and relaxation.

This yin yoga practice focuses on cultivating strength and resilience in both body and mind. Through longer-held postures, we’ll explore how growth often comes not in leaps but in steady, subtle moments.

Yin invites us to pause and reflect, teaching patience and the ability to breathe through discomfort. By staying present and calm, we build a quiet inner strength that supports us on and off the mat.

This class is a gentle yet powerful way to nurture your strength, embrace growth, and find steadiness, one breath at a time.

  • Bend Movement Club Week 4: Simply Be

Bend Movement Club Week 4: Simply Be

In this session, our focus is on self-compassion and honouring exactly where we are in this moment. It’s easy to feel the pull to push ourselves or strive to be “better,” but this practice is a reminder that we are already enough. Whether this is your first class or you've practiced for years, let this be a space to step back and simply be.

Throughout the yin sequence, we’ll focus on gentle, restorative poses that invite you to release any expectations or self-judgments. As we hold each posture, give yourself permission to soften, noticing sensations without the need to change them. Use this time to offer yourself kindness and acceptance, tuning into your breath, and feeling grounded in each shape.
