The Bend Movement Club is our seasonal community program – offering affordable group yoga classes across multiple locations in Dunedin. Each round runs for 8 weeks, and we run four Movement Clubs each year.
Classes are a mix of stretching + meditation (yin-inspired) and flow + breathwork (vinyasa-inspired) – all designed to help you feel better in your body and mind.
Whether you're after a once-a-week reset, a consistent two-class routine, or the flexibility to drop in when it suits – there’s an option for you.

Please bring your own mat to each session (except the lunchtime classes in the CBD). All other props are provided. Wear comfortable clothing, bring some water, and we’ll take care of the rest.

🗓 Please note:
May 31 (Saturday) class will be online due to King’s Birthday weekend.
No class on June 21 (Matariki weekend) – a makeup class will run on June 28.

Stretch + Meditation
A low-energy class focused on relaxation, restoration, and stretching.
Emphasis is on connective tissue (fascia) and joints through long holds and deep opening postures, typically seated or lying down.
You'll be guided through mindful movement, breathing, and meditation, providing space to turn inward and cultivate awareness in both the body and mind.
This class aims to increase joint range of motion, release tension, repair damage, improve energy flow, and revitalise tissues.
Flow + Breathwork
A smooth flow through a sequence of postures, creating mindful movement and inviting exploration.
Postures are generally held for a few breaths, with slow transitions to allow detailed breakdowns and explanations.
With regular practice, you may should notice increased joint mobility, improved concentration, reduced stress levels, and enhanced flexibility.

How to book your classes:
Once you’ve purchased your two class package, select “Use Package.”
You’ll be taken to a page where you can choose your first regular class.
Click “Book” – it will take you to the checkout, but you won’t need to enter any card details (your package will apply automatically).
Click “Confirm.”
Once confirmed, look to the top left and click “Book Another Appointment.”
Select your second class and repeat the steps above – and you’re all set!

Mosgiel:
Elmgrove School – 74 Argyle Street, Mosgiel
Classes are held in the school gym. Enter through the side entrance at 19–21 Ayr Street, then follow the path to the carpark – the gym is the closest building.CBD (Central Dunedin):
The Movement Space – 88 Vogel Street
Located upstairs. Enter through the main doors, turn left, and head up the stairs to the studio.St Clair:
St Bernadette’s School Gym – 16 Forbury Road, Dunedin
The gym is up the stairs from the carpark and to your left. Signage will help guide you to the right spot. -
Each Movement Club runs in 8-week blocks, with multiple locations across Dunedin. You can join one or two classes per week, or drop in casually when it suits.
All classes are beginner-friendly and open to all levels.

CBD classes (Vogel Street):
Mats and props are provided – just bring yourself, a bottle of water, and wear comfortable clothes you can move in.All other locations (Mosgiel & St Clair):
Please bring your own mat. Blocks and other props are provided.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to stretch and move freely, and bring water if you'd like.
